a pilot program through which unclaimed active domain
names can find new homes at very low prices.
Starting this month, NetFronts will make its collection
of excess domain names available for sale to the public.
Many of these names are already linked across the Internet,
providing immediate extra publicity to their new owners.
Available domains range from the more generic BriterSmiles.com
and AmericanLogoDesign.com to the more specific HairDesignsByToby.com
and FarmerJim.com.
Pricing is set at $5 for a name expiring within 12 months,
$10 for a name expiring in 12-24 months, and $10/year for
a name expiring in more than two years. Names then need

The company also evaluates available
domain names for applicability to various non-profit
organizations, and
donates them when they find a match. Charities can use
these names to help increase their current Web site’s
visibility, or even to create their very first Internet

a 10% discount on web hosting to non-profits.
