Dear Valued NetFronts
Customer,
I want to share some
things I consider important to your website and your service
with NetFronts.
Since 1996, NetFronts has been hosting websites just like
yours. I started this company while I was still a starry-eyed
2nd Lieutenant in the US Air Force. After 8 1/2 years of
Air Force service, including a short stint in Afghanistan,
I resigned last year to focus solely on NetFronts.
I’m eager to share
with you our plans for the next 6-12 months and address
an issue that many of you have
asked about. This is also an opportunity for me to solicit
your feedback on our service and request ideas on how we
can improve. Please send any thoughts to me at president@netfronts.com.
Effective
immediately, NetFronts has increased the bandwidth included
with each
hosting plan. Your bandwidth allocation
has been increased from 10GB to 16GB per month. Extra bandwidth
can also now be purchased for $1.25/GB per month. Our size
has allowed us to purchase quality bandwidth in bulk and
we’ve negotiated lower prices and want to pass the
benefits on to you!
You may have already
noticed minor changes in your control panel. We are
on target for version 2.4 of the Control Panel to be fully
tested
and installed
in June. This release will allow you to control SPAM and
anti-virus settings for each mailbox you create. It adds
support for AWStats, a fantastic traffic analysis tool,
and new designs that simplify and enhance your control
panel. In addition, NetFronts’ website and support
pages will be revised to make them easier to navigate and
significantly easier to find important information quickly.
On a technical front,
we’re testing a high-availability
design that will eliminate any single point of failure
for your website and provide load-balancing across a group
of servers. We are also developing a public network and
server status site that will allow you to get instant information
about any problems we may be experiencing. I encourage
you to visit and chat in the NetFronts Forums (http://forum.netfronts.com/).
It’s an excellent source for support tips, design
help, or just chat with other NetFronts customers.
Many of you have asked
why we don't offer 750MB of disk space and 10GB of bandwidth
for $6 like some of the other
web hosts. Since this has been a re-occurring question,
I feel it’s important to address. I know your time
